McLaren: We can catch Red Bull

Published on by Kevdawg

The Canadian Grand Prix in Monteal is coming up fast and one of the main questions is if McLaren Mercedes can beat Red Bull to the win for only the second time this season. According to the British team's history at the Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve, they will be challenging the Scarlet Bulls for pace throughout the whole race weekend.

"There is still 12 or 13 races to go," says Paddy Lowe of McLaren. "It is far to early to rule us out of the championship. We are very much in the fight."

Some people say that McLaren will get victory in Montreal because of how they have done in Canada in the past years. Such as Hamilton winning twice in the past three runnings of the event. Also, in 2010, The Canadian Grand Prix is where, for the first time that season, a Red Bull Racing Renault was not sitting on the Pole Position.

Others claim that Canada doesn't suit an aerodynamical car like the MP4-26 McLaren. It would rather favor a car with more mechanical grip like the RB-7.

What do you think about this situation? History or technical? Who will win in Canada? The battle is ON!
