There was drama in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after just two corners. Sebastian Vettel pulled off an amazing lead over Hamilton after only a few corners but spun off the race track due to suspension and puncture damage. Vettel was aiming at tying the record for most wins in a season with Michael Schumacher, but with this retirement, there is no possible way. After the retirement for Vettel, Hamilton went straight on to the victory that he needed so much. Red Bull didn't have a great day is Yas Marina as Webber finished fourth after an odd pit strategy.

Ferrari bounced back after a dreadful start to the weekend and Fernando Alonso finished second. He could have won the race though, if he had not been held up by and HRT in the pits and a slow stop occurred. d11abu3119.jpgDespite that, Ferrari scored more points in a single race for the first time this season. Massa finished fifth, but was lucky not to retire after he spun off at Turn 1 during the closing stages of the race.

Force India drove a great race with both drivers having a few fights with the Mercedes drivers. Sutil finished ahead of his teammate in eighth and di Resta was ninth. The points scored in Abu Dhabi would help defend their sixth place in the Constructors' Standings from Sauber, who also did well over the weekend. Kobayashi scored one point which moved the Swiss team ahead of Toro Rosso after the Italian team had an awful race.

Despite their bad race, Red Bull Racing moved up to 607 points in the Constuctors' Standings. They might have had plenty more if Vettel hadn't gone off. d11abu3046.jpgWebber's race wasn't too great either. He had a few scraps with Jenson Button for third but didn't have the pace to keep the position. The pit strategy chosen by the team was odd as well. They decided to keep Webber on the softs which meant that he would need to pit agin to comply with the regulations. Webber finally came in on the last lap to change tires which shocked everyone. They did manage to beat Massa which was their target.
